Quote of the Week

To live is to choose. But to choose well, you must know who you are and what you stand for, where you want to go and why you want to get there. Kofi Annan

A few years ago I read Interventions: A Life in War and Peace by Kofi Annan, after buying the book in the Geneva headquarters of the United Nations. I have always enjoyed numerous subjects, so deciding on any one thing to move my life forward has always been a personal struggle for me. In no particular order I will share my favorite subjects below:
  • History
  • Literature and Poetry
  • Art and Photography
  • Politics
  • Journalism and Creative writing
  • Studies of our Environment
Finding a way to blend and mesh these often divergent interests into a cohesive career. I am obviously still learning and growing.

How lucky are people who knew what they wanted to do as kids or teens?

Pretty lucky to me…it’s because of my diverse interests that I would love to make my hobbies into more of a business (ie, writing/photography).
